AMUSE-ZEUS

For my Final Major Project, in my final year of studying Art & Design at Hereford College of Arts, I chose to create a PC game from scratch using Unity. I took inspiration from Flash games which I combined with my research into Greek Mythology.
I wanted to use my final college project to explore Game Development; which allowed me to fulfil all of the disciplines needed to create my game. I was functionally the programmer, the artist, the designer and the animator all at once. With 91 days from the 22nd of February to the 24th of May, time management was essential, especially as I needed to learn how to write scripts using C# while designing and creating assets for my game. I spent the majority of the project animating Medusa and Thanatos as well as wrestling with programming the game mechanics. Endless bug-
checking and corruption has certainly given me a wider respect for programmers! Looking back on Amuse-Zeus, I am very happy that I chose to work on developing a game on my own for my final project - as it has given me a unique perspective that has helped inform how I approach organisation within team-based games.
