COLOSSAL PEAKS UI
For my game production project, in year 2 of my Game Art course, I was tasked with designing all artistic aspects of the game as the sole Game Artist.
I created a series of buttons, pages, displays and general menu UI for Colossal Peaks. I worked from the UI my team requested, reimagining the current blockout versions around the game's theming. In particular I am pleased with the readability, such as colours/shape language to suggest difficulty. I wanted to bring more whimsy to the game, with bold eye catching shapes to help it fit into the mold of a typical mobile game. I kept a consistent theme, replicating different textures across the designs such as the silver metallic material I used for the titles. If I had to revisit this game and the UI in particular, I would expand the custom UI to more of the game. Due to time restrictions and my workload I was unable to change all aspects of the menus to reflect the style I had established.
