In my last year of college we were given a research project, with the subject of international women's day, which was called 'In the Frame', I chose to research surrealism, which I used to inform my final set of self-portraits.
I used myself as the model and I used surreal imagery to express my different emotions and feelings. This project gave me the opportunity to translate them into artwork and share that perspective through this medium. I would easily say the strongest of the three is 'Celebration', the blood being cracked from the egg is a highlight for me. I am fond of 'Overwhelmed', but if I had to return to it I would emphasize the pointing fingers more by showing the rest of the hands behind them.
