The Thirteenth Week

On the thirteenth week I focused on the animated displays. At first I found that the videos were very zoomed in, and I used the nodes below to try to fix this. However, after trial and error, I found that stretching the UVs and editing the animations to have a larger border around them fixed the size issue.

I also added a roughness of 0.01 to every screen material to give it the gloss and reflection I wanted to replicate. I then created a replication of the animated display below the view screen, using footage as reference and animating within procreate. I took the screen back into maya to make the front face a different material so I could isolate the animation to the front.

In my final fixes in the scene, I found that the wall panels had strange lighting. I checked the textures in substance painter, but I found that reimporting the meshes solved the problem.

I added the main decals on the front consoles, and in procreate I made the decals for the wall panels.
