The Third Week

At the beginning of the third week, I worked on the roof details, using the bend tool to achieve the curve and soft selection to further edit the position. I took the initial version and edited that to create thinner and shorter versions for the sides of the bridge.

I spent the rest of my time creating the emissive areas on the bridge, which was more difficult in areas where I had to bridge a gap with a curve. I ended up bridging the gap and using the edgeloop tool to create lines vertically that I aligned with the edge of the structure.

I used the same technique for the other emissive areas on the roof.

I brought the updated bridge into unreal and followed a tutorial to create an emissive material to replicate the light on the roof of the bridge. I then edited the objects in my scene and added edgeloops to separate emissive areas, giving the areas new material. This allowed me to add the emissive material when I imported them into my unreal scene.

Next, I focused on the viewscreen, using edgeloops and a darker material to rough out it's location before deleting the faces and bridging the gaps. I then used my references to get more accuracy, seeing the angles and adjusting the edges.
