The First Week

Initially, I was planning to create my scene based on the film Batman Forever, however, in the first week of my project, I changed my direction to a simpler project to allow more time for detailing the scene. This was in response to feedback noting how cluttered the scene was on top of the rest of the room.

I decided to choose the bridge from Star Trek: The Next Generation instead.

Below are various screenshots detailing the progress of my project on Wednesday of the first week.

I referenced the original schematics of the bridge, from the designer of the Enterprise-D (the version from The Next Generation) - using that to inform the structure of my re-creation. I also used various screenshots from the show itself to stay on model, avoiding any discrepancies between the visuals.

I continued my blockout on Thursday, creating the interior of a turbo-lift (which I decided to add to enhance the cinematic) and extruding the beginnings of another arch.

After this, I began work on a version of the Captain's chair with more accuracy and structure.

I also roughly blocked out the roof of the bridge, adding the circular window above.
